THE SOUL- PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

I read a few quotes and I thought of sharing them with you. They reflect upon our past, the whole experience and the lesson we need to embrace. The first quote is by Toni Carmine Salerno

“You are who you are because of your history – all of it has helped you grow in love and wisdom. Every experience has blessed you in some way. Embrace the past and forgive anything that needs forgiving.”

The second quote is by Eckhart Tolle

“If your mind carries a heavy burden of past, you will experience more of the same.  The past perpetuates itself through lack of presence. The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future.”

Now the past can be a tricky thing to let go of, as one can have such deep emotions, memories and triggers that bring us back and keep us locked there What both these quotes are implying is that it is time to let go of the past and embrace the wisdom gained from those past experiences so that we can focus on being in the present moment.

An action that seems next to impossible has a key to permanent redemption. This reminded me of a pleasant meditation practice that helped me and I would love to share it with you, it’s called “The Key”.  This meditation can be done before or after the Dharan Kriya.

On the first day sit quiet in meditation, eyes closed, body relaxed and hands resting on the thighs with palms facing each other.  Now imagine a beautiful old iron key resting in between the hands. The part of the key that you hold is in the right hand and the part of the key that you place in the lock of a door is in the left hand. Now imagine lifting that key up into the brain, and in the left side of the brain you will see a door, this is the door to the past.  Gracefully close that door to the past, then place the key into the lock on the door and twist that key three times completely clockwise. Over the next seven days you will go through various emotions and experiences, this is just you letting go of the past.

On the seventh day sit quiet in meditation.  Now imagine the beautiful old iron key resting in between the hands.  The part of the key that you hold is now in the left hand and the part of the key that you place in the lock of a door is now in the right hand.  Now imagine lifting that key up into the brain, and this time into the right side of the brain you will see a door, this is the door to the future.  Place the key into the lock to unlock the door to the future, and twist that key three times completely counter-clockwise.

The door to the future will open slowly and surely.  Now you can live in the present and enjoy each moment.

Peace love and light
