WHY SHOULD WE MEDITATE?

THE TRUE MEANING OF MEDITATION:

Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself. The term meditation refers to a broad variety of practices (much like the term sports) that includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force (qi, ki, prana, etc) and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness.  Meditation has been practiced since antiquity as a component of numerous religious traditions and beliefs. Meditation often involves an internal effort to self-regulate the mind in some way. Meditation is often used to clear the mind and ease many health issues, such as high blood pressure, depression and anxiety. (Wikipedia)

Meditation will not interfere with your religion or culture.  Meditation is an internal process; it helps in connecting with the soul.  This connection will only amplify who you truly are, amplify your connection with your own soul.  It will bring awareness. It will heal the mind and the body. One can still have a religion and pray to the Creator, God or Allah, and one can still maintain a cultural background, practices or ways.  Meditation is an exercise for the mind, body and soul, to create a complete connection. In that way it crosses all boundaries.

In the past, meditation involved sitting quietly, closing the eyes and repeating a certain mantra or prayers, for instance.  There are many different ways to meditate, various traditions and techniques, and some are enshrined within certain religions, such as Buddhism. It worked very well then as the environment many years ago was also very different from the environment that we live in today.  We are constantly bombarded by technology, noise, outside stimulus, such as T.V., cell phones, social media. The mental and physical stresses of this day and age are much more than those of before. As a result, it is a lot harder today to quiet the mind, relax and connect to the soul than it was many years ago.  The meditation practices of before are thus challenging for most people to do.

Inlighten Global has created an effective tool for successful meditation called the “Dharan Kriya”, which is defined as a “manifestation technique”, a way to achieve a specific result, such as consciousness, awareness, oneness etc.  This technique is most appropriate in the current scenario, it is easy, simple, quickly done (five minutes) and the results are amazing. Dharan Kriya is a guided visualization that takes the meditator on a journey of the mind. The mind is occupied by the visuals and thus does not focus on the many tasks we need to do, the issues/stresses we face, our day to day activities, work, relationships, etc., thus generating a calming effect on the mind as well as the body. One is able to connect to the soul. This brings awareness and consciousness, the intelligence to simplify the issues we face, brings solutions that we may not have thought of, it changes our perspective. It brings healing and balances the mind and body; which eventually leads to peace and happiness.

As with all things in life it takes practice and persistence to achieve the desired state. So does the dharan kriya, setting aside five minutes in the morning, afternoon and/or evening before bed to practice the Dharan Kriya will help you reach the desired goal.  Realize that the benefits of practicing the Dharan Kriya are far out way the many excuses we can come up with to not have the time. Make time for you, you have everything to gain.

Love and light,
